Information Governance Update

NHS England has confirmed that community pharmacies will be granted an exemption from the business continuity requirements within the Information Governance (IG) Toolkit. The exemption will apply for 2014/15, but not for next year.

Contractors will still need to complete the rest of the Toolkit by the deadline of the 31st March 2015.

Have a look at your SOP’s. Do they need up dating in light of this change?
