Good Distribution Practice Induction Training

Good Distribution Practice Training

by Richard King | on 13th July 2012 | in Blog, Community Pharmacy, Pharmacy Suppliers

At Pharmacy Consulting we recommend that as part of a new member of staff’s Induction training, any company that holds a Wholesale Dealers Licence, should include a basic introduction to Good Distribution Practice(GDP). Do you have this in place currently? Would you like a training tool kit? We can help you design your own and/or help you deliver the training.

The sort of subjects that you should cover include:

  • Supplier and Customer Bona fides
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Training
  • Warehouse standards and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
  • Audit
  • Recall
  • Temperature Mapping and Monitoring

After the induction training SOPs should be readily available to all staff in their workplace, and staff should be encouraged to contribute to and participate in the process to review and improve the SOPs as it is they who are doing the work. Theywill feel more valued and involved and are more likely to be compliant.

Pharmacy Consulting Ltd are happy to help you develop your own bespoke training materials. We are also able to help Retail Pharmacies and Internet Pharmacies develop WL compliant SOPs for their deliveries.
